Another exciting game was played in Cordoba between eighth ranked Instituto and 4th placed San Martin where host Instituto (16-10) rolled over San Martin (16-9) with 27-point difference 99-72. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of San Martin. Instituto made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded San Martin 34-18 including 24 on the defensive glass. Instituto players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for the former international guard Nicolas Romano (200-1987) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. The former international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206-1993) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Instituto's coach Lucas Victoriano felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Matias Solanas (192-1998) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Rolando Vallejos (195-2000) added 14 points in the effort for San Martin. Four San Martin players scored in double figures. Instituto have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ferro. San Martin at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Instituto will play against Boca (#7) in Buenos Aires in the next round. San Martin will play on the road against Ferro in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
