Regular Season Round 2: Forza - Halcones 61-92

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Forza at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Halcones 92-61. Halcones dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Forza's 24. They outrebounded Forza 48-34 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard David Monterroso (180-1979) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mario Reyes (-2001) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Halcones players scored in double figures. Center Helmut Esquivel (196-2000) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Dereck Morgan scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Halcones are looking forward to face Villa Nueva Jrs on the road in the next round. Forza will play against Circulo and is hoping to win this game.
