Ninth-ranked GELP (9-10) was very close to win a game against second ranked Dep Viedma (13-6) in Rio Negro on Tuesday. Dep Viedma managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GELP. It was a good game for point guard Raul Pelorosso (178-1994) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Ramiro Trebucq (204-1995) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Dep Viedma players scored in double figures. Center Franco Barroso (207-1994) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and guard Juan Pablo Lancieri (189-1995) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GELP. Dep Viedma have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-6 record behind leader Independ.O. GELP at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Dep Viedma are looking forward to face Bahia (#14) in Bahia Blanca in the next round which should be an easy win for them. GELP will play at home against Lanus (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
