Fifth-ranked San Martin (16-11) was very close to win a game against second ranked Penarol (20-7) in Mar del Plata on Tuesday. Penarol managed to secure only two-point victory 91-89. However their fans expected easier game. Penarol made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by San Martin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Jonatan Machuca (184-1989) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and point guard Santiago Ferreyra (188-1997) added 17 points in the effort for San Martin. San Martin's coach Diego Vadell tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Penarol have a solid four-game winning streak.
