Regular Season Round 28: Quimsa - La Union 92-56
Date: March 2, 2022
Very predictable result when first ranked Quimsa (20-5) rolled over 17th ranked La Union (8-19) in Santiado del Estero 92-56 on Wednesday. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to La Union's 34. They outrebounded La Union 44-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by La Union's players. The winners were led by American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-1984, college: UNC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Even 15 points by American forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-1996, college: Coastal) did not help to save the game for La Union. Guard Franco Vieta (194-1992) added 10 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-5 record. Loser La Union keeps the seventeenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Union SF. Quimsa will meet Riachuelo LR (#12) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. La Union will play against Regatas (#8) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
