Regular Season Round 11: Temuco - Talca 82-73

Temuco's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after seven consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Espanol de Talca (2-9) 82-73 on Friday. Temuco forced 23 Espanol de Talca turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Felipe Acuna (182-1992) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American forward TJ Robinson (203-1989, college: LBSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Venezuelan center Sergio Mijares (-1997) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Espanol de Talca in the defeat. Espanol de Talca's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Temuco maintains thirteenth place with 1-7 record. It was Espanol de Talca's fifth loss in a row. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Temuco will meet at home higher ranked Universidad de Concepcion (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Espanol de Talca will have a break next round.
