There was no surprise when 7th ranked Olimpia (9-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Urupan (15-5) 83-75 on Saturday. Urupan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Mateo Sarni (185-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-1993, college: UW-Parkside) chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American Brandon Nazione (202-1994, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Rick Jackson (206-1989, college: Syracuse) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Urupan. Newly promoted Urupan maintains third place with 15-5 record having just three points less than leader Goes. Olimpia lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
