Regular Season Round 11: Ancud - Puente Alto 96-102

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Puente Alto (7-2) beat on the road 6th ranked Ancud (4-4) 102-96 on Saturday. They outrebounded Ancud 54-29 including a 22-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-1989) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. The former international Antonio Pinedo (195-1994) accounted for 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard DaQuan Brooks (177-1990, college: W.Connecticut) added 26 points and 5 assists respectively for Ancud in the defeat. Five Puente Alto and four Ancud players scored in double figures. Puente Alto moved-up to second place, which they share with Los Leones. Loser Ancud keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Puente Alto will meet Castro (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ancud will play against the league's second-placed Los Leones and hope to secure a win.
