There was a surprise result in Mar del Plata where twelfth ranked Quilmes MP (7-13) beat higher ranked Racing (11-9) 79-67 on Sunday. Quilmes MP made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Alex Negrete (192-2001) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Chilean guard Cristopher Jara (-2000) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Rodrigo Acuna (198-1995) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) added 12 points and 16 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Quilmes MP. They maintain twelfth place with 7-13 record.
