Rather expected game in Sao Paulo where 7th ranked Pinheiros (10-14) was defeated by fifth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (16-9) 65-60 on Sunday. Strangely Pinheiros outrebounded Paschoalotto/Bauru 45-28 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Argentinian guard Enzo Ruiz (194-1988) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Alex Garcia (190-1980, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-1983) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Portuguese forward Rafael Munford (195-1998, college: Augusta) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
