Regular Season Round 12: Ancud - Los Leones 70-68

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Liga Nacional took place in Ancud. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Los Leones (7-3) to sixth ranked Ancud (5-4) 70-68 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Pablo Barraza (184-1994) contributed with 13 points for the winners. The former international guard Barham Amor (185-1996) replied with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Dominican forward Justin Satchell (203-1995, college: St.Leo) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Los Leones. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. Los Leones' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ancud maintains sixth position with 5-4 record. Los Leones at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Ancud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Los Leones will play on the road against Deportivo Valdivia and are hoping to win this game.
