No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Universidad de Concepcion (6-1) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Temuco (1-8) 96-71 on Sunday. The winners were led by international point guard Diego Silva (186-1993) who scored that evening 27 points and 5 assists and naturalized Panamanian guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-1995, college: Idaho St.) supported him with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) did not help to save the game for Temuco. Michael Ernst (187-1982) added 16 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Loser Temuco stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Temuco will play against the league's second-placed Puerto Varas (#2) and hope to win that game.
