Regular Season Round 54: San Isidro - Rivadavia 70-60
Date: March 8, 2022
Rather expected game when 5th ranked Rivadavia (11-9) lost to second ranked San Isidro (16-4) in San Francisco 60-70 on Tuesday. San Isidro looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Emilio Stucky (198-1994) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) supported him with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Alejandro Madera (193-1991) did not help to save the game for Rivadavia. Center Abel Trejo (204-1990) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. San Isidro maintains second position with 16-4 record having just one victory less than leader Independ.O. Loser Rivadavia dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. San Isidro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rivadavia will play against Ameghino (#7) in Villa Maria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
