Everything went according to plan when fourteenth ranked Corinthians (9-17) edged on the road bottom-ranked Brasilia (4-20) 91-89 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was American guard Malcolm Miller (201-1991, college: Southern) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (180-1991, agency: BIG) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Germerson Barbosa (205-1993) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American-Filipino Zach Graham (198-1989, college: Ole Miss, agency: Pro Sports) added 18 points respectively. Four Corinthians and five Brasilia players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Corinthians moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Cerrado. Brasilia lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Corinthians will meet at home higher ranked Fortaleza (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brasilia will play against the league's second-placed Minas (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
