Regular Season Round 55: Rocamora - GELP 77-65

An interesting game took place in Rocamora where higher ranked GELP (9-12) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Rocamora (5-14) 77-65 on Wednesday. Rocamora made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Rocamora outrebounded GELP 40-22 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Manuel Gomez (-1996) fired 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Four Rocamora players scored in double figures. Center Franco Barroso (207-1994) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and Tomas Ligorria (195-1994) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Rocamora moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Estudiantes T. GELP lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Rocamora will meet Bahia (#13) in the next round. GELP will play against Parque Sur (#15) in Concepcion de Urug. and hope to secure a win.
