Regular Season Round 27: Trouville - Malvin 90-76

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Trouville (#8) and Malvin (#6). Trouville (10-12) won against visiting Malvin (12-10) 90-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Malvin. Trouville made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while Malvin only scored ten points from the stripe. It was a great evening for the former international forward Santiago Massa (190-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) helped adding 17 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Emmitt Holt (201-1996, college: Providence) with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trouville moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Olimpia. Loser Malvin keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Trouville's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Olimpia.
