We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Obera (16-13) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Regatas (17-13) 84-71 on Saturday. The former international forward Facundo Pinero (202-1988) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Martin Fernandez (195-1997) with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Melvin Johnson (193-1993, college: VCU) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Regatas moved-up to seventh place. Loser Obera dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Olimpico. Regatas will meet at home San Lorenzo (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Obera will have a break next round.
