Regular Season Round 13: Ancud - Castro 90-85

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Ancud (6-4) defeated at home 8th ranked Castro (3-4) 90-85. Ancud made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard DaQuan Brooks (177-1990, college: W.Connecticut) accounted for 20 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four Ancud players scored in double figures. American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian-American guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) added 23 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Castro in the defeat. Castro's coach Carlos Romano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ancud moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Las Animas. Castro at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
