There was a minor upset when 13th ranked San Lorenzo (12-14) lost to sixteenth ranked La Union (11-20) in Formosa 77-83 on Tuesday. La Union outrebounded San Lorenzo 35-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-1996, college: Coastal) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import power forward Jarrid Famous (211-1988, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG) accounted for 9 points for the winning side. Guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) came up with 27 points and the former international forward Matias Sandes (202-1984) added 16 points respectively for San Lorenzo in the defeat. San Lorenzo's coach Alvaro Castineira rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union maintains sixteenth place with 11-20 record. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Lorenzo will play against San Martin (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
