Regular Season Round 31: Quimsa - Platense 88-71
Date: March 18, 2022
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quimsa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quimsa defeated 14th ranked Platense in Santiado del Estero 88-71. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Franco Baralle (185-1999) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Power forward Sebastian Acevedo (200-1990) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) answered with 19 points and Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) added 17 points in the effort for Platense. Four Platense players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Platense at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Platense will play next round against Olimpico trying to get back on the winning streak. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
