Regular Season Round 9: Rocamora - Corrientes 48-45

The most surprising game was the first loss of Corrientes (8-1) in Concepcion de Urug. on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Rocamora (3-5) 48-45. It was a good game for naturalized Uruguayan power forward Sabrina Scevola (178-1992) who led her team to a victory with 8 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Antonella Gonzalez (155-1990) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Naturalized Colombian center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sofia Cabrera (168) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Corrientes. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Rocamora went down to ninth position due to points difference. Corrientes at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Rocamora are looking forward to face higher ranked Riachuelo LR (#7) in La Rioja in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Corrientes will play at home against the league's second-placed Berazategui (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
