Regular Season Round 6: Tatui/AABT - LSB / B2B 70-95
Date: March 19, 2022
The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Tatui/AABT's (6-6) home loss to third ranked LSB / B2B (8-7) 70-95 on Saturday. LSB / B2B shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Matheus Weber (195-2000) scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Byron Hawkins (185-1995, college: Bryant) chipped in 21 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Felipe Taddei (192-1992) with 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international power forward William Drudi (206-1981) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LSB / B2B have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-7 record having just one point less than leader Praia. Tatui/AABT lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Brusque. LSB / B2B will meet at home Botafogo (#7) in the next round. Tatui/AABT will have a break next round.
