Regular Season Round 15: Puente Alto - Tinguiririca 86-71

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Tinguiririca (3-9) lost on the road to third ranked Puente Alto (9-4) 86-71 on Saturday. Puente Alto looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tinguiririca's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Antonio Pinedo (195-1994) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-1989) accounted for 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-1990, college: ACU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and the former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-1986) added 20 points respectively for Tinguiririca in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puente Alto moved-up to second place, which they share with Los Leones. Tinguiririca lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Puente Alto will meet at home Universidad Catolica (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tinguiririca will play against the league's second-placed Los Leones in Quilpue and hope to secure a win.
