Regular Season Round 6: Maringa - Blumenau 54-96
Date: March 19, 2022
Very expected game when 6th ranked Maringa (2-10) was rolled over at home by second ranked Blumenau (10-2) 96-54 on Saturday. Blumenau looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Maringa's players. The former international guard Guilherme Bento (195-1997) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Vinicius Gobor (185-1990) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jose Carlos Junior (202-1998) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Jamison Costa (199-2000) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blumenau have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Araraquara. Maringa lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
