Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Deportivo Valdivia (6-5) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Espanol de Talca (2-12) 73-64 on Sunday. American forward Cameron Naylor (202-1994, college: Texas St.) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-1988) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Naylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American forward TJ Robinson (203-1989, college: LBSU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and center Claudio Cabrera (200-1988) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Espanol de Talca's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Deportivo Valdivia moved-up to seventh place. Espanol de Talca lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Deportivo Valdivia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Valdivia Las Animas.
