Regular Season Round 60: CAO Ceres - Echague 94-82
Date: March 20, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Echague (3-21) lost on the road to fourth ranked CAO Ceres (17-4) 94-82 on Sunday. CAO Ceres looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Jorge Banegas (190-1993, agency: BIG) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Eduardo Spalla (197-1989) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four CAO Ceres players scored in double figures. Even 29 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Dallas Morgan (185, college: CMU, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Echague. Canadian center Christian Rohlehr (206, college: SFC) added 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). CAO Ceres have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Echague lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. CAO Ceres will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Echague will play against Villa S.Martin (#6) in Resistencia and hope to secure a win.
