Regular Season Round 6: Maringa - Araraquara 61-79

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Araraquara (10-2) won against on the road 6th ranked Maringa (2-10) 79-61 on Monday. Strangely Maringa outrebounded Araraquara 35-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. Marciel Paje Santos (201-1991) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Jackson Da Silva (192-1996) chipped in 24 points during the contest. Four Araraquara players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jose Carlos Junior (202-1998) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Luan Leite (198-2001) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Araraquara have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record, which they share with Blumenau. Maringa lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
