There was no surprise when 5th ranked Brusque (6-6) was defeated at home by second ranked Blumenau (10-2) 71-60 on Monday. Blumenau made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Point guard Lucas Farina (186-1995) scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Leonardo Bispo (206-1996) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Lucas Campos (190-1997) with 19 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Erick Camilo (203-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blumenau have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Araraquara. Loser Brusque dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Tatui/AABT. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
