Very expected game when 13th ranked Fortaleza (9-17) was defeated at home by second ranked Minas (24-5) 85-75 on Sunday. Minas made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Minas outrebounded Fortaleza 38-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Shaquille Johnson (191-1990, college: Marshall) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Gui Pereira (192-1991) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest.
