There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Rivadavia (11-13) was smashed by tenth ranked Libertad (11-14) in Sunchales 103-75 on Sunday. Libertad dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rivadavia's 38. The winners were led by power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Julian Eydallin (195-2000) supported him with 17 points. Four Libertad players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by power forward Tobias Cravero (197-1999) did not help to save the game for Rivadavia. Center Abel Trejo (204-1990) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Libertad maintains tenth position with 11-14 record. Rivadavia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Libertad will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rivadavia will play against Colon SF (#13) in Santa Fe and hope to secure a win.
