The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quimsa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quimsa defeated 14th ranked San Lorenzo in Santiado del Estero 89-78. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import forward Reyshawn Terry (203-1984, college: UNC) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Quimsa's coach Sebastian Gonzalez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leandro Cerminato (201-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Lucas Perez (184-1987) added 12 points and 8 assists in the effort for San Lorenzo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion San Lorenzo keeps the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. San Lorenzo will play next round against Boca trying to get back on the winning streak. Quimsa will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Platense in Florida.
