Regular Season Round 18: Ancud - Temuco 94-68

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Temuco (2-12) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Ancud (7-7) 94-68 on Sunday. Ancud dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Temuco's 48. Ancud forced 22 Temuco turnovers. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Sebastian Suarez (193-1991, college: Portland St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Felipe Acuna (182-1992) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ancud moved-up to seventh place. Temuco lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Ancud will meet Castro (#9) on the road in the next round. Temuco will play against Puerto Montt (#8) and hope to secure a win.
