Not a big story in a game in Montevideo where 7th ranked Trouville (12-13) was defeated by fifth ranked Penarol (16-9) 85-76 on Monday. Penarol looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American John Flowers (200-1989, college: WVU) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) with 22 points and the former international point guard Federico Soto (195-1997) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Penarol moved-up to third place, which they share with Aguada and Urupan. Loser Trouville keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Olimpia. Penarol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Nacional.
