There was a surprise result in Montevideo where eighth ranked Olimpia (12-13) beat higher ranked Aguada (16-9) 95-83 on Monday. They outrebounded Aguada 43-29 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Brandon Nazione (202-1994, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) chipped in 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Olimpia's coach Gerardo Jauri used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Lucas Silva (197-2002) with 22 points and Venezuelan forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpia moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Trouville. Loser Aguada keeps the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Urupan and Penarol. Olimpia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena .
