But Tijuana Zonkeys were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Guadalajara 97-85 on Wednesday night. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. Forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) nailed 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Toure Murry (196-1989, college: Wichita St., agency: Players Group) accounted for 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Jaime Johnson (183, college: Guilford) came up with 27 points and 4 assists and Tonzell Handy (196, college: Tougaloo) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Tijuana Zonkeys in the defeat. Five Astros and four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros will meet at home Venados in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Rayos de Hermosillo and hope to win that game.
