There was no surprise in Rio Gallegos where 20th ranked H.Americano (2-29) was outplayed by twelfth ranked Penarol (15-18) 87-51. Penarol outrebounded H.Americano 50-30 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Thiago Dasso (185-2000) accounted for 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Forward Andres Martinez (199-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Santiago Infante (182-2003) added 15 points respectively for H.Americano in the defeat. H.Americano's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Penarol moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Olimpico. H.Americano lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games. Penarol will play against Ferro (#13) in Buenos Aires in the next round. H.Americano will have a break next round.
