Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Santiago Wohlwend (172-1997) answered with 18 points and Brazilian center Pedro Ianguas (210-1998) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for O.Mundial. Five O.Mundial players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
