No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Deportivo Valdivia (9-6) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Temuco (2-14) 89-73. Deportivo Valdivia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Temuco's 40. They outrebounded Temuco 43-27 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Cameron Naylor (202-1994, college: Texas St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-1988) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Naylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) replied with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and point guard Rodrigo Munoz (186-1980) added 12 points and 8 assists in the effort for Temuco. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Deportivo Valdivia maintains sixth position with 9-6 record. Temuco lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
