Everything went according to plan when third ranked Racing (17-10) beat on the road 14th ranked Rocamora (8-19) 81-72 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Erbel De Pietro (185-1988) chipped in 17 points. Forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Manuel Gomez (183-1996) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Four Rocamora players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Racing have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-10 record having just two points less than leader Independ.O., which they share with Salta Basket. Loser Rocamora keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Racing will meet Parque Sur (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rocamora will play against Zarate Basket and hope to secure a win.
