NBB top team - Vivo/Franca (28-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Fortaleza (9-20) in Sao Paulo 90-66. Vivo/Franca players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by the former international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-1993) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard David Jackson (190-1982, college: Penn St.) supported him with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Even 21 points by center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-1987) did not help to save the game for Fortaleza. The former international point guard David Rossetto (184-1992) added 12 points and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca maintains first position with 28-3 record. Fortaleza lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Cerrado. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
