Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Salta Basket (18-10) defeated on the road 9th ranked Rivadavia (14-15) 78-71 on Friday. Strangely Rivadavia outrebounded Salta Basket 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Agustin Carnovale (192-1986) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Cristian Cardo (198-1999) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Abel Trejo (204-1990) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Guido Francese (192-1998) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Salta Basket and five Rivadavia players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Salta Basket. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ameghino. Loser Rivadavia keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
