Rather predictable result when Rayos de Hermosillo (3-3) won against on the road Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (3-3) 88-79 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jordan Brangers (188-1995, college: South Plains) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Turkish center Alihan Demir (206-1996, college: Minnesota) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Richard Granberry (203-1993, college: Virginia St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon in the defeat. Rayos de Hermosillo will meet at home Ostioneros de Guaymas (#7) in the next round. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will play against Astros and hope to secure a win.
