The game between second ranked Gimnasia (24-12) and fourth ranked Instituto (24-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Gimnasia was defeated by Instituto in Cordoba 81-91. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Instituto's coach Lucas Victoriano used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-1988) answered with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and American guard Marcus Elliott (191-1984, college: Louisiana Tech) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Gimnasia. Five Instituto and four Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Instituto have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Gimnasia lost third consecutive game.
