Very expected game when 12th ranked Espanol de Talca (4-16) lost on the road to eighth ranked Ancud (10-8) 76-66 on Sunday. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Argentinian guard Christian Schoppler (185-1986) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Ancud players scored in double figures. American forward TJ Robinson (203-1989, college: LBSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and center Claudio Cabrera (200-1988) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Espanol de Talca in the defeat. Espanol de Talca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ancud have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Valdivia. Espanol de Talca lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Ancud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
