Regular Season Round 39: Obras - Quimsa 75-77

Date: April 14, 2022
Twelfth-ranked Obras (15-22) made lots of trouble for first ranked Quimsa (29-8) in Buenos Aires. The visitors from Santiado del Estero managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for Ecuadorian center Bryan Carabali (212-1999) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Juan Brussino (185-1991) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Uruguayan forward Joaquin Rodriguez (198-1999, agency: Pro Sports) answered with 15 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994, agency: Duran International) added 11 points and 8 assists in the effort for Obras. Four Quimsa and five Obras players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Quimsa have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 29-8 record. Obras at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 22 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Quimsa will play against bottom-ranked H.Americano (#20) in Rio Gallegos in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Obras' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Ferro.
