Regular Season Round 39: Ferro - Boca 58-78

The biggest surprise of round 39 was guest Boca's (22-15) easy road victory over Ferro (#8) 78-58 on Saturday evening. Boca made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boca made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international Kevin Hernandez (205-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. The former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Jonatan Torresi (190-1994) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boca have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Regatas and San Martin. Ferro at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Boca is looking forward to face Platense (#12) in Florida in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Buenos Aires Obras.
