An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Puente Alto. Third ranked Puerto Varas faced 4th placed Puente Alto. Guests from Puerto Varas (15-6) smashed host Puente Alto (13-8) 88-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Puente Alto. Puerto Varas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Panamanian forward Pablo Rivas (198-1994, college: NCCU) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Franco Morales (179-1992) chipped in 1 points, 8 rebounds and 17 assists. Rivas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and the former international Antonio Pinedo (195-1994) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puerto Varas moved-up to second place, which they share with Los Leones. Puente Alto at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Puerto Varas is looking forward to face Espanol de Talca (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Puente Alto will play against Temuco (#13) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
