Regular Season Round 2: Corsarios - Tigrillos 80-66

Corsarios used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Medellin 80-66. Corsarios dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tigrillos' 24. They outrebounded Tigrillos 50-33 including 36 on the defensive glass. Venezuelan swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Jhon Hernandez (208-1984) supported him with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Four Corsarios players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by forward Andres Carmona (195-1997) did not help to save the game for Tigrillos. The former international guard Simon Granados (180-1993) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corsarios will play against Storm in San Andres Island in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tigrillos will play at home against Team Cali and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
