Very important is a road loss of Storm (1-1) against Corsarios (2-1) on Monday night. Visiting Storm was defeated by Corsarios in Cartagena 86-73. Corsarios dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Storm's 38. It was a great evening for Venezuelan swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Lysander Ameen (196-1996) helped adding 28 points. The best for the losing side was international forward Luis Almanza (196-1991) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Dominican Yeison Colome (190-1996) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Storm's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Corsarios will meet Bucaros (#4) in the next round. Storm will play against Cafeteros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
