Regular Season Round 4: Bucaros - Corsarios 90-82

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Corsarios (2-2) against fifth ranked Bucaros (2-1) on Wednesday night. Visiting Corsarios were defeated by Bucaros in a tough game in Bucaramanga 82-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Corsarios. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Bucaros made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Corsarios outrebounded Bucaros 42-29 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Romario Roque (180-1998) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Uruguayan Facundo Medina (190-1994) who added 20 points (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Venezuelan swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and center Jhon Hernandez (208-1984) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaros moved-up to second place, which they share with Carrib.Storm. Corsarios at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Cafeteros.
